The Air & Space Forces Association (AFA) Wright Memorial Chapter (WMC) is honored to welcome Mr. John T. Bailey as our distinguished guest speaker at the upcoming luncheon on Thursday, May 21, 2026. 

Mr. John T. Bailey is the Diroector of the Special Programs Division within the Fighters and Advanced Aircraft Directorate, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson AFB.  The directorate executes the development, production, fielding, sustainment, and modernization of the United States Air Force and foreign military sales fighter portfolio, which includes the A-10, F-15, F-16, F-22, and special programs. 

Mr. Bailey is a 2002 graduate of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Cedarville University.  He then received his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Ohio State University in 2004.  In 2019 Mr. Bailey was selected by the U.S. Air Force for the MIT Sloan Fellows MBA Program, where he completed his MBA in 2020 focusing on enterprise leadership, innovation and artificial intelligence.

RSVP Required: 7 days prior to the luncheon.  Pre-registration is required.

Cancellation Policy: Reservations will be billed unless cancelled 7 days prior to the luncheon.

The gates open at 9:00 AM this year and flying activity is scheduled to begin around noon (12:00 PM). The AFA Chalet is open until the Dayton Air Show is completed around 4:30 pm. Gates close at 6:00 pm

Tickets include preferred parking and transportation to the AFA chalets, air-conditioned chalets with private restrooms, umbrella tables and additional seating  - plus all food and beverage (Private Selection Fresh Grilled Hamburgers and Hot Dogs on Bakery Fresh Buns, Assorted sliced Cheeses, Ketchup, Mayo and Mustard On the side, accompanied by Greek Pasta Salad, Creamy Potato Salad, Seasonal Fresh Fruit Salad, water, pop, and beer, Assorted Gourmet Cookies Tray). 

Note:  Per Dayton Air Show policy, not AFA WMCs, each person 6 years-old and over must have a ticket.
